A leading and expanding pharmaceutical wholesale business is looking to appoint a Distribution Centre Manager with GDP and people management experience to take leadership of the day to day management of the Warehouse operations and facilities in Dublin.
This is an excellent opportunity for an existing Warehouse Manager or for a senior warehouse lead to take the next step in their career progression in an environment that is patient and people focused.
The Role
- Responsible for and manage the receipt, storage and distribution of pharmaceutical products in line
- with GDP requirements, procedures and SOPs.
- Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure the integrity of pharmaceutical products.
- Ensure proper control and storage of goods, including adherence to temperature requirements and
- expiration dates.
- Ensure the warehouse is maintained in an audit ready state for both customer and regulatory
- inspections and act as SME for warehouse visits.
- Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of employees – co-ordinate and deliver adequate training
- and that resources are utilised effectively and efficiently.
- Stock management to include cycle counting, inventory consumption reporting / analysis /
- obsolescence and trend identification for review.
- Logistics management - coordination with Freight Carriers on Inbound and Outbound, Ambient and
- Cold-Chain Shipments
The Person
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar warehouse management role within the pharmaceutical sector - the ideal candidate will have experience in taking responsibility of all aspects of the warehouse, people and processes in compliance with GMP and GDP requirements.
- Proven people management experience.
- Proficiency in ERP system management and usage.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with a record of successfully change management.
- Excellent communication skills (English Language), both verbal and written.
- Full clean driving license
