A Supply Chain Specialist is required to join a leading-edge contracting & consultancy business based in Co. Mayo. This rapidly expanding company is committed to growth, through innovative products and the delivery of premium expertise to a wealth of customers across the private and public sector. The Supply Chain Specialist & Stores Co-Ordinator is a key position within the company. Sourcing, scheduling and planning of materials to meet the needs of the business will be fundamental to this role. Excellent organisational and communication skills are required to effectively fill this role.

The Role

  • The Supply Chain Specialist & Stores Co-Ordinator will plan and direct the day-to-day operations of the Store Facilities ensuring they run smoothly and effectively while maintaining the highest housekeeping standards.
  • Liaise with group supply chain to optimise the procurement process.
  • Ensure purchase orders are placed in line with lead times and agreed SLA’s.
  • Establish sufficient stocking levels to service the needs of the business.
  • Implement a Kanban system for critical components/suppliers.
  • Participate in daily / weekly supply chain and scheduling and planning meetings.
  • Work with Quality department & Operations Director on new material and new supplier onboarding activities.
  • Development & management of the processes and controls around Cycle Counts and full facility Stock Counts.
The Person
  • Third level qualification in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or another related discipline.
  • 2+ years’ supply chain experience essential.
  • Demonstrated critical and effective decision-making skills with the ability to work on one’s own initiative to resolve competing priorities and with minimum supervision is required.
  • Must be proficient with MS Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Must possess full fluency in English with excellent verbal & written communication skills, which include but are not limited to presentation and organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, self-motivator, ability to adapt to change and good organisational skills are key to this role.
