A Global Organisation based in Galway is seeking a Supply Chain Planner

The role

  • Manage the scheduling of the Packaging and QA Release activities of Injectable and Medical Device products), while meeting customer demand and optimizing capacity utilization. Upon completion of the Material Requirements Planning run, review and initiate Purchasing Requisitions of secondary packaging related materials.
  • Ensure that any overdue inbound deliveries and material changes are followed through, and ensure that any delay or change is comprehended in the latest schedule revision.
  • Ensure that the 2-way communication with all relevant internal stakeholders is transparent and timely as far as schedules, department capacity, and KPI’s are concerned, and ensure that relevant feedback is considered.
  • Responsible for Inventory Management of all materials. Ensure that excess & obsolescence is kept to a minimum, by using FEFO (First Expired First Out), safety stock level review, and escalating any potential issues.
  • Responsible for timely upkeep of 3rd Party Manufacturing Oracle transactions for both Finished Dose Form and Toll Manufactured Products
  • Responsible for the upkeep of dynamic and static planning related data in the Oracle ERP system, by initiating Stock Adjustment, Bill of Materials, and Item Master forms.


  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Business/ Logistics
  • 2 -4 years’ Supply Chain Planning experience gained ideally within the
  • pharmaceutical or Medical Devices sector.
  • Must possess experience in planning and scheduling (APICS), Inventory management, purchasing manufacturing and release process.
  • Third party toll manufacturing and release process experience
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal & written with good time management skills.
