A leading Biopharmaceutical organisation is seeking a Supply Chain Operations Manager to be based in Limerick. The Supply Chain Operations Manager is responsible for receipt of demand (forecast/orders) from partners, assessment of its viability and execution of activities, to ensure its fulfilment. Additionally, using Project Management knowledge and experience, you will oversee batch disposition.


The Role

  • Own existing tolling relationships and implement new tolling relationships as required
  • Monitors and tracks information on the status of partner orders, effectively identifies potential risks to the timeline and escalates appropriately
  • Acts as a leader between functional areas to facilitate the advancement of batch disposition for all relevant products in the portfolio
  • Assesses batch disposition issues and consistently demonstrates the ability to gain cooperation of others and effectively facilitates the resolution of cross-functional issues
  • Develops and implements new tools and processes to improve the batch disposition process and develops innovative new solutions to elevate constraints and solve issues
  • Review current activities in batch disposition and order management on a regular cadence for alignment across sites. Understand any mis-alignment, conduct any necessary gap analysis and drive relevant actions to remove gaps.
  • Create and publish metrics to evaluate overall plan/process effectiveness that drive positive results, get to root cause and support annual IOPS objectives.
  • Provide coaching to direct reports; including employees development plan; Foster a healthy work environment where employees feel valued and respected
  • Support Compliance activities for Supply Chain.

The Person

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, Supply Chain Mgmt., or Science background) + 6 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management
  • Must have demonstrated project management experience. (PMP certified considered a plus).
  • Pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience a plus
  • Masters’ degree a plus
  • APICS or other related supply chain certifications a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex projects and changing priorities; work extended hours when required, make sound decisions under pressure, and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and lead a team; supervising and coaching staff; Experience with interviewing, hiring, training, coaching and disciplinary actions
