A Supply Chain Manager with material planning experience gained within the pharma / biotech industry sector is required to join a leading global biopharmaceutical organisation in Limerick. This role functions as part of the materials & components management team by leading a global planning responsible for managing consumable raw material inventory.


  • Lead a global category planning team through building a top performing team ensuring development of team members to meet their full potential.
  • Engages across the Global Supply Chain Leadership team to drive best in class supply chain processes
  • Understand IOPS Manufacturing and Support Business, ensuring raw material positioning supports current and future growth requirements.
  • Arrange for delivery and release of consumable materials to maintain 100% material availability to operations execution functions.
  • Actively seek creative solutions to optimize global material planning processes and reduce supply risk.
  • Provide coaching to direct reports; foster a healthy work environment where employees feel valued and respected
  • Measure organisation’s performance through KPI measurement. Identify root cause and implement corrective actions when required.
  • Compile information, such as production rates and progress, materials inventories and materials used.

The Person

  • BS/BA degree in related field with minimum 7+ years of experience in Supply Chain
  • Experience in the Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of raw materials inventory planning and MRP
  • Proven experience of leading a successful supply chain team
  • Ability to build relationships through Teamwork, Drive, Transparency and Respect
  • Keen ability to communicate and build trust across functions and levels
  • ASCM (formerly APICS) certification preferred
