An experienced Supply Chain Manager is required to join a leading Healthcare business in Dublin. In this role as an experienced Supply Chain Manager you will lead the Supply Chain and Logistics operation. You will collaborate with other departments, such as Operations, Commercial, New Product Development (NPD) and Finance, to create effective business plans, so teamwork skills are important. You should also have experience in project management, as well as great leadership and communication ability.
The Role
- Develop and implement Supply Chain Strategy
- Manage operational performance and resolve issues across a broad portfolio of products.
- Collaborate with customers and suppliers to ensure all operations (e.g. shipping, delivery) meet quality and scheduling standards. Keep track of logistics and update the company’s inventory.
- Evaluate and report on KPIs
- Analyse and forecast ongoing company stock level needs
- Monitor logistics to make sure they run smoothly
- Maintain supply chain inventory and records
- Engage with third party DC’s to ensure that agreed SLA’s are met
- Engage with third party DC’s on all new and ongoing agreed product/pricing logistic issues
- Ongoing monitoring of supplier lead times
- Engage with suppliers and freight carriers on the scheduling of deliveries and dealing with logistic issues arising
- Working with freight carriers on custom and duties topics for each jurisdiction and product
- Engage with NPD Director regarding inbound logistics for new products
The Person
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or similar field
- Membership of a professional body is advantageous.
- 10-15 years’ experience in end to end supply chain management
- Previous experience as a supply chain manager or in a similar field
- Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes
- Experience of managing a complex global network of contract manufacturing and third-party distribution
- Solid understanding of regulations or has experience of working in a regulated or controlled environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work well with internal and external stakeholders managing information flows and decision making effectively
- Has the flexibility and desire to travel regularly (20%) within Ireland, UK and International.
