Senior Supply Chain Manager

A Senior Supply Chain Manager is required to join a highly dynamic and successful global medical device company in it's infancy in Ireland. The focus of this role is to manage and oversee the work of a team of employees in warehousing, logistics, trade compliance and materials management.

The Role

• Responsible for all incoming and outgoing materials (raw materials, subassembly, sterile loads, finished goods) to ensure cost effective on-time delivery of products.
• Cooperate with global / regional supply chain, operations, quality, finance and IT to implement warehouse, logistics and trade compliance system strategy.
• Manage 3rd party logistics providers / customs clearance broker to ensure optimized material flow and services.
• Ensure compliance in related processes, activities, system transactions, documentation and operations.

• Bachelor's Degree, field of study in Material/Engineering/Logistics/Business or equivalent
• 15 years of experience Supply Chain experience gained ideally within the Medical Device sector
• Significant experience gained within a multinational manufacturing organisation
• Demonstrated track record in people management andproven successful experience working in warehousing and logistics related fields, preferably the pharmaceutical/medical device/chemical industry in a manufacturing environment andExperience working in a regulated industry
• Expert understanding of supply chain, in particular Logistics (Freight, Warehousing and Trade Compliance) while addressing issues which impact beyond own team based on knowledge of related disciplines
• Proven background in scaling warehousing, logistics and relevant experience in managing 3rd party warehousing/logistics.
• Expert understanding of related aspects of supply chain processes and/or systems e.g. Planning, Procurement, Inventory and Supplier Management
• Knowledge in Warehouse Management System (WMS), Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP), JD Edwards (JDE) knowledge preferred
