Manufacturing Director

Our client a Dublin based high potential start-up company seeks a Manufacturing Director to join their team. Reporting to Chief Operations Officer the Manufacturing Director will be responsible for leading the development of NDP and Manufacturing capability. Ideally the Manufacturing Director will have experience working with implantable devices but will consider people from other devices background. Client company can be flexible on level of role and can consider someone stepping up from Manufacturing Manager and there is scope to go to VP level for right candidate





Role/Responsibilities:

  • Support development of overall business strategy
  • Lead planning and execution of our manufacturing strategy
  • Implement transition of product design and design changes to manufacturing environment
  • Co-ordination with R & D group and Quality group to establish Manufacturing Environment & Processes with capacity to meet expected demand
  • Development of robust supply chain with the ability to meet expected manufacturing demand
  • Establish manufacturing team to support objectives
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for rapid scaling of manufacturing capacity through outsourcing, automation, process improvements or other productivity measures while maintaining high quality standards, rapid response times, high reliability and cost effective operations
  • Engage with and support development of the QMS to ensure delivery of the overall quality strategy & business quality objectives



Skills/Experience:

  • Extensive experience in development of commercial pathways for novel medical devices
  • Ideally experience with Active Implantable Devices
  • Well organised with experience prioritizing and working to deadlines
  • Ability to proactively identify issues and make recommendations
  • Have strong project management and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent analytical skills (advanced Excel) with very strong numeracy
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong report writing experience
  • An aptitude for identifying & implementing process improvements
  • Proven ability to function efficiently in a fast-paced environment with multiple and shifting priorities.
