A Head of Procurement is required to join a global Financial Services organization in Dublin. The Head of Procurement will be accountable for all in-country Procurement activities, Influencing and persuading global strategies and translating global strategies to local impact. The role holder will have an understanding of the business requirements and priorities in country with the responsibility for country pipeline of savings opportunities

  • Working with the appointed BPO provider and central Procurement project team you will ensure a successful transition of services
  • Review SLAs, KPIs and quality of output from BPO provider, provide feedback and work in conjunction with the BPO Service Delivery Lead to remediate any metrics below the required limit. Manage stakeholder escalations through to resolution in conjunction with BPO provider.
  • Work with stakeholders and category managers to develop a pipeline of opportunities and projects, which may be global or local. The projects will be delivered in accordance with the Category and Commodity plans and will leverage the full range of supply and demand-side levers. Deep sourcing knowledge will be applied in the execution of these plans across all category areas whilst ensuring the risks associated with the purchase of goods and services are mitigated commercially, contractually and operationally.
  • Develop influential senior in-country relationships and will lead the business in their approach to maintaining and leveraging value in their operational accountability for supplier relationships. It is expected that post contract value opportunities will be identified and delivered through working with supplier managers and the supply base.

The Person

  • Educated to at least Degree level
  • End to end sourcing experience
  • Experience of managing indirect categories of spend
  • Proven experience of driving performance from a BPO provider
  • Financial Services industry experience is preferred.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
