Global Logistics Specialist

An experienced Global Logistics Specialist is required to join a leading Pharmaceutical business in Dublin on a six month contract.

The Role

• Operations planning, resolving suppler-customer shipping issues (e.g. CAPA management), project support and quality/ regulatory / trade compliance activities.
• Ensure that product collection and deliveries occur on time in full with the correct shipping documentation across supply network particularly for key Internal sites and 3RD party CMOs.
• The role plays an important part in the broader operations team by working with key teams (Supply chain, Quality, Tech transfers, Finance) in ensuring shipping and delivery meet in-transit deadlines
• The Logistics Specialist role will include working on specific global logistics projects. For example, the integration of new volumes and sites within India shipments to and from US and other countries as applicable.
• The role will also represent the Global Logistics team on all Tech transfers, New Product Introductions and related Trade compliance projects

• Degree level education preferably in supply chain / operations management
• 3 years + experience in supply chain / logistics in high volume pharma environment
• Experience in coordinating pharma shipments via 3PLs and internal teams
• Multi-site network experience in managing and coordinating transport flows
• Experience working with supply chain, quality, regulatory and external agencies
• Experience in managing high value temp sensitive products across shipping modes
• Good project management background in supply chain, logistics & trade compliance
• Knowledge of global ERP systems and warehouse management systems, MS Word, Excel, JDE, Lotus Notes, PowerPoint.
