An eBuying Expert is required to join a newly created Global Procurement Center of Excellence within a leading pharmaceutical organisation in Cork. This is an opportunity to take responsibility for implementing the automated buying channel initiatives that are part of the Procurement Technology roadmap

The Role

  • Lead the implementation, development, promotion and maintenance of the eCatalogs and Marketplaces globally.
  • Engage with the Category owners to promote and develop the use of eBuying channels
  • Participate in the selection of the eBuying solutions and providers
  • Manage all third parties responsible to manage our Catalogs and Marketplaces
  • Act as a Subject Matter expert to support users of eBuying channels
  • Deliver class or virtual trainings on use of the eBuying channels
  • Develop Communication plans for the eBuying roll out globall

The Person

  • A recognized expertise in Procurement tools, preferably in eSourcing and eBuying tools
  • University degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience gained within a Procurement Operations environment ideally within a multi-national
  • Experience in working internationally and ability to interact with different affiliates, cultures, markets.
  • Strong communications skills – written and verbal as well as interpersonal – English fluency
  • Ability to travel internationally to support global Procurement organization teams
  • Experience in implementing eCatalogs or Marketplaces globally is a plus
