An experienced Procurement professional is required to manage the API Category for a leading global pharmaceutical organisation. Based in Dublin you will manage the development, implementation and alignment of global API sourcing strategies.


  • Work closely with API suppliers on of supplier performance reviews and cost savings strategies.
  • Management of forecasted Vs actual cost savings on a regional level.
  • Work with key internal stakeholders on the proposal, development and implementation of alternate source programs.
  • Work very closely with internal manufacturing site in EU and with respective SCM leads to ensure provision of timely sourcing support.
  • Develop and negotiate supply agreements with key strategic API suppliers
  • Development and implementation of regional risk mitigation strategies.
  • Represent API sourcing on repatriation projects to provide best in class cost of goods support.
  • Manage development, implementation, and alignment of global API sourcing strategies.
  • Drive regional cross vertical continuous improvement efforts.

What you will have

  • Business Degree or equivalent
  • 3-5 years in Sourcing gained within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven ability to develop and implement sourcing strategies
  • Experience of risk mitigation ideally within the API area of spend
  • Excellent ability to influence and build relationships
