A leading global Biopharmaceutical business has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director, Supply Chain to join the leadership team to be based in their Dublin Distribution Centre facility. Reporting to the Site Lead, this senior position will play a critical role in providing direction and setting strategy for the Global Distribution network, in addition to having oversight of day-to-day operations in the Distribution Centre.
The Role
- Accountability for all Supply chain activities within Freight and Distribution.
- Responsible for the supplier relationship management for four outsourced Logistics service providers
- Responsible for rate negotiations across multiple suppliers and service providers.
- Responsible for inhouse Warehouse Management, inventory control and end to end distribution activities.
- Accountable for creating and fiscal reporting in line with the Budgeted plan for all activities surrounding Freight and Distribution.
- Responsible for coordinating Global Trade compliance requirements for imported and exported products.
- Responsible for maintaining AEO and Known consignor accreditations
- Responsible for coordinating interdepartmental activity with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Engineering, Commercial Operations and Finance.
The Person
- Educated to a minimum of BS or BA level MA/MBA is preferred
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical/Warehouse industry
- Strong leadership, decision-making and influencing skills to drive results and the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated and proven track record and a comprehensive understanding of the financial aspects of Supply Chain operations. Comprehensive knowledge of financial reporting, costing, and cost analysis.
- Proven track record and hands on experience with SAP S4 Hanna ERP, WMS / IM and TMS systems in general
- Extensive understanding of GMP, GDP, quality, and the regulatory requirements within the pharmaceutical sector.
